So I’m writing a zombie book. It’s really cool. The survivors find each other through strange and mysterious situations. They kidnap a zombie, to what purpose I can’t share. This one little group clings to life, making the most of every day. Will they survive? Will they retake the world? We’ll see.

P.S. Due to lack of internet for quite a while, I am no longer a Wiki Rep at Zomb Headquarters

Every mothers nightmare. Thank goodness I only have 2 more weeks. No sign of zombie outbreaks, unless you count my Alzheimer’s research. Which I would because I’m losing sleep and sanity over it. Wretched brains. It would very much upset me if I was right about it. Of all the things it could be and it’s just a form of dementia with severe degradation of tissue. Unnerving as it is. The percentage of people suffering from it is in an up-rise. It’s also difficult to have diagnosed. We could be swimming in zombies, if such an event were to occur. I, however, think that my theory may dwell around the fact that my father has it and is driving me and everyone else I live with nuts.

Wiki News: Recently promoted to moderator due to lack of female rep. I’m not one to play the sisterhood crap. I’m more at home with the guys, oddly enough. But the other mods knew me and I fit the bill. Although, I understand that there could be issues that other women may feel they need to talk to another woman about. So I gladly excepted the position. I won’t be able to handle any big issues until after the baby is born. I am replying to my wiki mail when I can and anything that I can solve while I am on, I will. So I’ll be back more so about mid January.

Alright, so not many people know I’m writing what is to become a series, either comic book or possibly just good fiction. Maybe both, I have not a clue yet. The first part of the series will be taking place in the realm of death. That means zombies, necromancers, flesh-eaters, vampires, and possibly more. I’ve already got a part with flesh-eaters and demons ready.

Update: So while I was WEBless I wrote 8 chapters for the first book. Countless notes and outlines and a few chapters from 3 other books in the series. Now I am currently rewriting everything. My pc had a breakdown between Tx and Ak. Unfortunately I didn’t have a full backup. I still have some notes but the majority is lost. So hopefully the rewrite will be better than the original. Soon I’m going to take the pc to pros to see if anything is salvageable. I’m going to do something I save for absolute emergencies… Pray. So why rewrite if I don’t know yet if the original is lost? Because it exercises my thinker and writing skills. As does this blog, which I’ve been seriously neglecting. Internet lackage = major suckage. Plus, what if I were to write something that the original lacked or just something altogether better?

There is a machine that has the ability to cleanse the blood of viral pathogens. It works like a dialysis machine. Currently it’s being used to treat people with HIV, Hep C, and it’s also to be used to counter bioterror. Now to stray from the news and on to why it’s on this blog. Yeah that’s right, genius at work. Being that the zombie epidemic could come at us in the form of a viral contagion, I was thinking that maybe we could use this to possibly prolong life before infection takes over. I won’t say cure because it’s just being used to treat people with HIV, to give them better odds. Now I know that’s a bit much because the infection would take over anyway, but it would allow us to find out more. We could ask the infected questions before they turn. Maybe find out something intriguing.

If you haven’t figured it out by now, zombies scare the living shit out of me. Right now I’m on a hunt for some information pertaining a certain chemical waste that I’ve heard rumors about. It’s like Bigfoot to me. There was a movie that came out, that had part truth based on this particular legend/myth/rumor. Remember Return of the Living Dead? Yeah I barely remember it myself, just kidding. Well in the movie, they release a gas from a barrel causing the dead to rise. Supposedly from what I’ve heard, this could be out there. It was also part true that they did lose this compound somewhere in the good ol’ U.S.A. I can’t release the identity of my source due to various reasons, but I’m now looking into to see if we can debunk this. Go back to living semi-normal lives, with bug-out-bags ready to go. The fact that I’m willing to look into this, should say enough about my source.

I’m a proud member of a fun little zombie wiki. Every once in a while I post theories based on extensive research I’ve accumulated. Feel free to check it out and let me know what you think on the Research page of this blog.

I’ve been thinking about the zombie species hop again. I’m tired of just thinking about human zombies and I want to be prepared for everything. It’s one thing when you’ve got a person with 2 legs that’s possibly slower than you, but a complete different when it’s 4 legged and has sharper teeth and claws. Dogs, rats, and cats are fairly common and they’d be something to worry about, if they zombism does make it to another species. Recently I find myself worrying about more wild animals and bugs. The more I think about it, the more I realize it just can’t happen. We wouldn’t have a fighting chance.

I’ve put thought into the whole slow vs. fast zombie. I’m hoping for slow and retarded. Think Shaun of the Dead can’t get past a fence. But I don’t think I’d get that lucky. I’m not that into genetics, molecular biology, or anything that great. Here goes my dabbling thoughts though.

I’m hoping muscle deterioration and lack of oxygen in the blood-flow will help us. If the long-gone dead start pulling themselves out of the grave, we are in trouble.  Would dust have an option, seriously? Airborne infections? Muscle deterioration would be good enough for me. I’ve also been thinking, a stupid person will be a stupid zombie unless it was a genetic experiment that caused it, then it could go either way. Would a smart person be a smart zombie, even without genetic reconstruction? That’s where lack of oxygen comes in. Well that and lack of oxygen in the major muscle tissue could help. That’s just even if it plays a part. I like the cafeteria scene in Resident Evil Apocalypse I think. For the most part you can walk right past the bastards. But why are the dogs fast and why do they have coordination? It could be that I have my movies mixed up. Because all the other zombies in the Res movies are not as fumbling. I will elaborate on this at another time. I need my paranoia sleep.

I’ve come to terms with the fact that I might be ditching or putting a bullet in some of my family. My dad I wouldn’t care so much. My kids and my mom however, it’s gonna be rough. Somethings you just gotta do. My mom is elderly and disabled. She would be too much trouble to take anywhere because she has more basic needs. If I took her, she could die and turn. Well it depends on if it’s the whole “and the dead will rise” scenario or not.  My kids are priority. If I can’t keep them safe, then I’m taking them somewhere they will be. It would be a hard task, but hopefully accomplishable.

So I’m super paranoid when it comes to zombies. I have a bug-out-bag. I sleep with a dagger between the mattresses. I deadbolt my bedroom door, the back and front door. Every door in my house has some kind of lock on it. The windows that are easily accessible are barricaded, but in a “normal” way. The pantry is stocked full. There are military style water jugs that are full and in storage around the house. I’m ready for a lot of disasters. I have a notebook dedicated to zombie research.
